Panther Run Golf Club

The Golf Club at Del Webb held our first Southwest Florida Tournament of Charities Birdie-a-Thon on Wednesday March 11 here at the club.

Director of Golf Jim Simpson and Head Golf Professional Dan Redolphy, were joined by Assistant Golf Professionals Bill Thibeault and Ryan Weir and played a 4-man scramble trying to make as many birdies as possible to raise funds for Charities such as SW Florida Addiction Services, PGA Art Soderholm Scholarship Fund, the 1st Tee of Naples and many other great organizations.

Your Golf Professional team made 13 birdies, so accordingly, based on the pledges received from our membership, the total amount raised was $1,274.00!

If you pledged money to the Birdie-a-Thon you may make your check payable to DEL WEBB AT AVE MARIA COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION and drop it off in the Golf Shop.

As we are one of many clubs participating in this great event, the funds raised will most certainly make a difference in the lives of many individuals in the SW Florida area. We certainly appreciate all of your support in this inaugural event and we look forward to next year's event where we can make a few more birdies!
